The lake itself, however, is hardly popular with bathers, who during hot summer days prefer to enjoy themselves along the banks and gravel sections of rivers: Podbela and Kred by the Nadiža River, pebble banks from Kobarid to Tolmin on the Soča River, and Slap ob Idrijci and Bača pri Modreju on the Idrijca River.
