The Fishing Association of Tolmin manages 140 kilometres of fishing watercourses of Soča and Idrijca rivers and their tributaries, and breeds indigenous salmonids.

The only type of fishing allowed is fly fishing. More information may be obtained on the Internet or when purchasing fishing permits.

The special feature of the Soča Valley is Soča trout, the endemic fish species of the river basin of the Adriatic Sea, and the largest trout in Europe.
